Hi and Happy New Year

Just a quick question if I may.
What are your thoughts on inexpensive, $40 or so, switch mode power supplies from Amazon etc?
These products must achieve a certain standard to be sold here.
Has anyone used one for their camera or mount.
I ask because my camera , QSI683, requires 12 volts while my mount, Losmandy G11, is more at home with 15 volts.
At the moment supplying them both with 12 volts from a linear power supply or 12 volt battery is a bit hit and miss.
I never, well hardly ever, travel with my gear so AC is a lot easier.
I am reasonably sure the cheap ones will be OK as long as they have the required "codes" stamped on them, but just thought I would ask.

Thanks in advance.
Greg

Cheap power supplies tend to be pretty noisy or don't reach their advertised output current or voltage. They'll work but when you can buy something like this 12v 5A Power supply (https://www.jaycar.com.au/60w-12v-5a-desktop-power-supply/p/MP3252) from a well known OEM like Meanwell at Jaycar for $50, I'd prefer that plugged into my fancy camera rather than some no name power supply from china. If your mount needs 15v you could try one of those DC-DC Converters to step up the voltage but If you wanted to run both on one powersupply I'd get the 12v 8.5A (https://www.jaycar.com.au/p/MP3258) one for $70.

I've been using the 120W, 12-15V DC car convertor for many years to power my HEQ5 and NEQ6 mounts.
Not sure if this was a Maplin or Jaycar purchase: Model L40BB
