A good read about a sad end to what could have been
a fantastic aircraft.
A similar thing happened to the British aircraft industry with the
BAC TSR-2 in the early 1960's.:sadeyes:

The later generation, top-secret stealth versions, which travel much higher and much faster, still get spotted by lone travellers on remote roads late at night.
