Seeing wasn't very good this morning. Hopefully we should see better as we get into the back part of the high that's currently dominating.

Last night's conditions were moist easterlies. They'll become dry northerlies in the next day or so.

Happy to have captured those new white ovals in NTB. Also, Red Jnr just crossing the CM

You should be happy Matt I live for the day I can come close to your capture.
Can you see the "white ovals" visually. Seeing was not very good here with cloud floating by from time to time.
No hope of any photos of the things I try for.
Great effort.

Thanks Alex.

Don't know about seeing the ovals visually. Haven't done a lot of eyeballin' lately. Mostly CCD imaging, although I do pop the eyepiece in at the start of the night to gauge the quality of the seeing.

I'd doubt they're visible due to the nature of white oval on white belt. Not enough contrast difference for the eye to pick it up:shrug:

Thanks Matt, it's all good experience even when the seeing doesn't cooperate. More practise at the scope etc.

Hope for better tonight and maybe tomorrow night...

cheers, Bird

Still a very nice result, Matt. Looks like you captured the new white spots as mentioned/imaged by Zac.
