10" f/10 Intes-Micro Alter M1008 Deluxe Maksutov

Selling my 10" f/10 Intes-Micro Alter M1008 Deluxe Mak. After searching for so long and finally finding one, I've decided that 10" is just too large to negotiate as I need to set up and take down every time I use it.

Optical quality is outstanding. Has its original Intes issued interferometer certificate of better than 1/8 wave PTV, with a Sitall mirror. During this last Mars opposition it was put up side-by-side with 10" APM Wirth Mak and a 9" Santel Mak, and the image quality was inseparable between the three. The image looked like you could run your finger along Vallis Marineris.

Comes with a custom made case, which holds the finder-scope block in a nifty little space below the dual speed focuser. Rear cell accepts standard SCT fittings. Also comes with extension tube, Losmandy dovetail plate, built-in ventilation fan & power cable, two original Intes finderscope mounting shoes, original metal front cap & a 2" rear dust plug. The Intes finderscope block comes with a dovetail shoe so you can fit standard finderscopes to it.

Scope is in Sydney, so local buyer welcome to pick up. If shipping is required, the cost of securely crating up the scope will be additional.

I've had another question about how an EQ6 handles this scope - just fine!

The pic below is of the said scope on my EQ6. As with any scope, it needs to be well balanced across the two axis.

A good mate of mine just about exclusively uses his own 10" Mak in AZ mode with his AZEQ6.

The scope in the background is a 9" Mak.

I have had an offer to buy the Mak from an overseas buyer - I have the scope listed on Astromart as well. Any further interest from a local buyer or the scope heads overseas in the next few days?
