Please see my image of the Rosette Nebula - Starless.

This was taken November 2020 NSW

Details:
Sharpstar 65Q ED
ZWO ASI 533MC
ZWO ASI AIR Pro
HEQ5Pro
32 x 180 second exposures
Optolong L-Extreme filter

Processed in Pixinsight using a great tutorial by Shane Neilson - Pixinsight Beginners Video Tutorial located at: https://visibledark.ca

Very nice nebulosity but what does it look like with the stars put back in, just asking for a friend.

Excellent imaging. Colourful and detailed, picking up the dark edges and well as the highlights.

Thank you Cheryl, looks much more realistic with the stars back in though it is a fine image either way.

I downloaded an eval copy of Pixinsight and purchased the tutorial you mentioned. Best $12 I have ever spent as it got me up and running. Thanks for the recommendation.

Are you ever going to put the stars back and post the final image?

Yes Alex, lovely image, but this one in particular looks emasculated without
the cluster 2244 at its centre. The cluster makes the Rosette so much more striking.
