Thankfully, the rain has moved to Qld. Perfectly clear sky here on the NSW Central Coast with only 40% humidity, and a comfortable 18C. About to head out for a session with the ED150. Hope it is clear for you.

Yes very pleasant out there tonight and last night also. A little cloud. The moon will stay away for a few hours.

Mostly clear early on in Southern Sydney tonight but right now some high cloud banks drifting through every 5 minutes or so
First time imaging M42 this year with the new 2600MC
A bit of a stop start imaging session so don’t know how much data I will gather before I decide to quit for the night / morning
Still nice to see some clear weather

Well great session here, the hunidity actually dropped since my 11pm post, from 40% to 34% and the temperature rose by 2 degrees to 20C. No worries about condensation in these conditions. I did a more complete test on the ED150 tonight, visually, and got to put the Ronchi eyepiece on it for an optics test. Moving from Intrafocal to Extrafocal absolutely no aberration, the four thick lines stayed perfectly vertical with no spherical under or over correction, no depression or elevation, no astigmatism or zonal aberration. Seems perfect according to Gerd Neumann's chart.
Did a tour of the sky from Orion through the Tarantula and Eta C.
Tomorrow night, hopefully I will put the reducer corrector and Nikon on it.
