I made what seems to me a decent start on IC2177 these past couple of nights. Poured on a lot of Oiii last night, at 48*240s on it, but fairly moony, so still not popping.
Can I ask what people reckon I should gather more of? Currently 28*240s of Ha and of Sii. First night was Ha and Sii, I tried my best to frame things well, and took note of exact position, slewed back to there the next night, which was a first for me. This is still a solid crop, but just for aesthetics instead of bad overlap.
Any other comments and suggestions would be great!
Here it is on Astrobin... seems alright at about A4 size https://www.astrobin.com/full/3h0fdd/0/?nc=user

That's more than a decent start that's a beauty can't wait to see the final result

Cheers Nik, hopefully I can improve on it. Last time I was here with the Rosette nebula, I tried to double the data after a nice start but the end result seemed kind of dirty and not worth the time.

Great start! :)
Having imaged this a few times in NB, I can only say that the O3 signal is very feint. I had to bin 2x2 to get sufficient O3 data, so you have done well.

Looking magnificent as it is. One would normally expect to have to take much more SII than Ha, but yours is looking fine already.

Wow, I'm absolutely over the moon to hear that feedback from people like you all. Really made my week!
I've doubled that time on the target, and while it seem to be subtle, I think the outcome is good.

Integration now sits at 102 x 240s Oiii, 60 x 240s each Sii and Ha, almost 15hours.

Have marked it final in astrobin, though I don't know if I can/will stop there.
