Wow, what a super day to be into Solar imaging. I really can't wait to see what other images are posted today.

Today is a special day for me as my Dad William Arnold Marples passed away 37years ago at 57 years old. He was the inspiration for my Astro journey which began as a 9 year old boy in England. He let me watch Dr Who and The Sky at Night and helped with my first Tasco 66T telescope.

Amazing to look at the dark spot in AR2786 - it was actually heart shaped at 8am. Somewhat appropriate for today!

Thanks for looking. Got tons data and no time grrr.

It's a drug Peter, one is never going to be enough lol. I only got 450gig of white light shots trying to make a full disk mosaic, but I am having trouble getting it to stitch together. I am super impressed with your first image, top shelf First Class

Thanks guys, really appreciate your comments.

Going off on a bit of a tangent here and being a huge Floyd fan...as I am sure there are many here, but who knew this?

My title was obviously borrowed from Pink Floyd. What I didn't know was Wikipediae - "According to an interview with Gilmour in the 2006 documentary Which One's Pink?, the studio version of the song contained minor guitar work both from Gilmour and Barrett, making "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" the only Pink Floyd song that features all five band members, though some listeners may not fully discern the guitar tracks as they largely blend in with Richard Wright's keyboards and organs."

And this " Since this is about the path of a relationship from start to end, dawn to dusk as it were, it’s a journey" even more appropriate, but on the darker side it's probably about Syd Barrett...

Written in 1967 the year my Dad made the decision to move to OZ (we left in 1968) the track still sounds amazing.

Nice shots Peter - its good to get something to image after the minimum.

Hopefully activity will pick up from here on. Cheers, John W.
