Closeup view of the Diamond Cluster.

Are the rainbow pattern on the large star diffraction spikes removable or just a function of this telescope?
Critical review encouraged.

Beautiful rendition of that cluster.
The colorful diffraction spikes are the normal effect of any telescope that has spider vanes to hold the secondary in place. That's the way it's supposed to look.
The big ones are you spider, the small ones you could minimize if you wanted to by filing any screw/bolt heads that are protruding in the light path

Beautiful image Andrew. The only thing I would do different is pull back the black point in the histogram just a tiny smidge. Would give a small but noticeable improvement in contrast. A wonderful rendition of this fine cluster

Ok, thanks multiweb. I had a look for internal protrusions and nothing stands out that could be causing the small spikes except it could be the ends of the main spider vanes where they are fixed in place?
Thanks for the feedback Rodney
Thanks Mike :)

The colour is delicious. Those red giants really sparkle.
