I'm looking for a set of Celestron anti-vibration pucks, like the one pictured. Instead of a full set of three I can also make do with two pieces.

Steffen you can buy compressed rubber pucks at Bunnings, in the aisle where they have table legs, felt floor pads for furniture, etc. Just a lower priced (probably) suggestion.

eBay list a much cheaper version than the official Celestron part number:

I'm curious to hear from people who have actually used the Celestron version. Are they worth the money?

I've got three of the Celestrons already, but need five or six of the same.

Those eBay ones look identical, possibly from the same fabrication line?
On the other hand, the way the orange rubber is deformed makes me think it's not actually sorbothane...

You are correct. The Celestron are made entirely of sorbathane, the cheaper ones are "made from two different types of plastic polymer...."

I found the Sorbothane cup in the Celestron VSP's did not noticeably reduce the amplitude of the vibration when I struck my telescope focuser, but it did dampen down the motion very quickly.
I suspect other materials may not be as effective at reducing the dampening down time of any vibrations.

And you also have these:
https://www.amazon.com.au/Isolate-Sorbothane-Vibration-Isolation-Circular/dp/B00CQ4FFY4/ref=pd_sim_328_1/356-1201020-7315330?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00CQ4FFY4&pd_rd_r=7845bb2a-ccc8-444e-b0a6-ce33c2e23ebf&pd_rd_w=mW0JC&pd_rd_wg=mCFJs&pf_rd_p=bc690445-748d-407b-bc22-fb3c6a5a9694&pf_rd_r=VTRK2XZFV5SF0XJV1MWZ&psc=1&refRID=VTRK2XZFV5SF0XJV1MWZ
Which are made of sorbothane and are considerably cheaper.
Edit: There's also the sheet option: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Sorbothane-10mm-Vibration-Isolation-Pad-Sheet-Mat-10-100-100mm-4-4-3-8/222599339745?epid=2152889284&hash=item33d3f45ee1:g:-B4AAOSwJS5ZgARy

I have a set (3) of TS branded ones that I’ve never used if that’s of any help.

The site states in their description that they are OEM Celestron (Original Equipment Manufacturer). I have a set and they definitely make a difference.
Cheers, Richard :)
