Thanks Marc, possible nova in the LMC, still waiting on spectrum for confirmation! It will likely be the ASAS-SN survey's second Magellanic Cloud classical nova discovery in three weeks, following on from a nova in the SMC discovered 26 October (ASASSN-20ni).

I made it out at about mag 11.0 (green channel of RGB, ~V) on the evening of 18 Nov but a fair bit dimmer last night (19 Nov) at around 11.8. Couple of pics attached, including widefield from last night.

Rob,
Which lens/ settings did you use for the LMC wide shot?

Ken, I used a Canon F/2.8 200mm lens at F/3.5 to shoot. It's a 2-panel mosaic. Each panel was 6 x 20 sec at ISO 12800, camera was Canon 800D, star tracker was a Vixen Polarie.

Wow, great work by Rolf, thanks for posting Marc!

ASASSN-20oh has been confirmed spectroscopically as a classical nova. It's fading rapidly though, 2 magnitudes over the previous two nights. Hoping to get another look tonight!
