Hi folks,
yeah I know, not me again.., but have had a lot of lum data taken over the past month or so that needed colour and the skies only came good for a couple of days while the moon is on the wax....
This is a real interesting galaxy and many as well as myself have passed it up in the past for the brighter/ larger ones that are in good view at this time of the year.
Needed more lum data and would have been nice to get the colour when there was no moon let alone one with 52% luminosity, but you take what you can get when you can get it!!
Check out on the web to see better in your face detailed shots of this object.
There's some real crackers that show the mass of small galaxies being affected by this grand galaxies gravitational field.
Here's a link to my front page for the thumb nail to it.... if you've visited it lately, do a refresh as I've made a couple of changes.

WOW great image, there is so much going on in that image, galaxies and looks like possible globs all over the place.

Thanks for taking a peak there Andy, wish I had another 60 min on the lum though!
Cheers:thumbsup:

Hey gamma,
thanks for the nice comments...
I have only just got off typing you a reply to your Omega cent image..... I have written just my thoughts on how the new QHY cameras could really do much better in the way of getting them going in amongst the astro community.... another though, hit up the astro mags as well...... do a write up for them.
Hope you don't mind my input

All the best:D

Another nice image Rich!!! I havn`t seen a image of these galaxies before so thats a big plus!!
If you don`t mind me asking whats the size in minutes of ngc5078? must be rather small.
Cheers Gary

Thanks there Ric, would have been nice for more data to see if I could have brought up more detail on the companion and possibly to the dust lane. But weather has turned real sour and it feels like winter has hit! So happy enough I guess to have had a good run to get most of my lum images out of the closet.

Thanks Gary for the comments!
This is quite a beaut galaxy. Can't for the life of me work out why I haven't imaged it in the past:screwy:
It's relative size is 3.9'x1.9'.... mag 11.8

Cheers for now
Rich
