Classic, Refractor Scope. The wood on it is delightful, it has been restored to pristine condition and waxed, the screws and plates restored and copper plated for looks. Even the box has been restored and looks great. The optics have been professionally cleaned, regreased, and collimated by Malcolm Eames.
The mount system is great. It works with a clutch, where you can release it and rotate it freely, and when activated, it becomes fine/slow focus.
The 5x finder works amazingly well and is a work of art in itself. It's suitable for both birding as well as night work.
It has the full eyepiece set to go with it (don't use the sun piece obviously, but included for the purpose of completeness).
It comes with a new 1.25" to .0965" adaptor and modern prism diagonal so you can use modern eyepieces with it (with I thoroughly recommend!).
