Just a quick run through Registax4.

Bit of cross-hatching on planet due to the 1.5x resample. Will have to figure out how to avoid this.

Tried something different. Rotated the planet to have North at top of image. Not sure whether I like it or not?

Think I'll go back and give this the full AstraImage RGB split decon treatment later.

Captured 22 AVIs this morning.

Not sure if this is the best among them.

Seeing very good. I'd say 8/10. Close to as good as the 24th.

Can't wait to see what Bird has snagged.

Cheers

Very smooth, excellent data. Looks better than your image from the other day (so far).

Bird SMS'd me at 3am.. I *know* he's captured good data.. and i've been stuck at work all night :(

Wow matt, that is fantastic - you've gotta be stoked with a result like that!

I've got Hubble-like data from Murrumbateman, wait and see :-) :-)

Thanks Mike and Anthony.

Definitely hanging out to see what you got, Bird.

Quick question: when K3CCDTools time stamps each AVI, is that the time at the start of the capture or when the recording process stops and it's saved to the hard disc?

Cheers

Top imaging Matt, lots of detail and natural colour in that one.
One cannot help but be continually amazed at the quality of the images your getting and it keeps on getting better.

Thanks Ric.

I love pushing the capabilities of my gear as far as they will go.

Until I can afford a 12"... or 13"...or 14"....

I'll keep peddling this 9.25 as fast as I can!!!:D

Here's another image from a little earlier in the night, without the effects of resampling.

nice work......you are on top of your histo, now to work on your mirror temps.....is there a way to measure your ambient while you are out

it would be interesting to see if the temps are continually dropping with the SCT mirror still warmer than ambient?

Dave

The next night I am out I will chart the temp.

There is no doubt in my mind my mirror and air temp inside the closed SCT tube are not as close as the half-degree difference Bird often refers to for optimum performance.

It's something I'm keen to work on and I'm lucky to have Bird so near by. He'll be a great help when we finally get round to drilling holes in my OTA:scared:
