I was doing some lunar observing last night but with Mars so close to it I couldn't resist taking a few more grabs. Silly me accidently hit stop during the blue capture so I only got about 380 frames. I also overexposed the blue which is why the colour's a little off.
Acquisition:
RGB = 4309 (total stack)
Scope: 12 inch Dobsonian
Camera: ASI 290MM
Accessory: 2x Barlow
Processing: PIPP, AutoStakkert, Registax, Photoshop (scaled up approx 150%)
That first image is really good LIS.
Your moving Mars reminded me of my first attempts at programming 'table pong' :-)

Thanks Peter the colour isn't the best but I have a couple more sets that I haven't gone through yet so there might be one in there with a better exposed blue.
Haha. Yes it does look a bit like an Atari game. I had to cut 4 out of every 5 frames from the original captures to get the file size down hence why they appear choppy. In real-time it's a lot smoother and it zips in and out of view in just a few seconds, so there's not much time to switch filters and reposition for the drift before it's rotated too much.
I call it 'Quickdraw Imaging'. :lol:

Another one from the same night. Seeing wasn't as good but the colour is slightly better.

Worthwhile time spent on Mars before it coasts away LIS. Your 12” Dob certainly draws out the detail alright. Gomer Sinus is very decernable and the upper plains are very clear.
Good work well done.
