I had another go at the Sun today knowing that for the rest of the week weather-wise it is going to be bleak. I imaged first in Ha and then switched to double stack mode (thanks again Ken for your good advice re aspects of tuning in this area). I still have a long way to go but today’s results are an improvement from the last outing.
In Ca II K, I noted some very small prominences. The contrasting surface features and in particular AR12778 were quite prominent. Luckily I completed what I had set out to do. Enter the clouds…

Gerard,
Well done, mate!
You've presented an excellent collection of images.
I do like the CaK images.
Keep up the good work.

Wow Gerard bravo! Full disc - now that's the way to open a set of images! Really good to see and I really like the 6th CaK image.

Very good set of images, thanks for posting and sharing. From what I saw briefly today, it is an impressive AR.

Awesome stuff - Looks like a great sunspot group has developed since the clouds rolled in over qld, must get a look at it today!

Thanks guys for your comments they are appreciated.
I've added one image that was left out from yesterday's post -a whole disc prominence shot in Ca II K.
