Bit of Sun this morning before the clouds rolled in. Some nice proms and played around with the fainter ones to try and bring out some detail. The disc images are only single stack today as the whole morning exercise was to setup my new (faster) laptop and work called, really need a good 4 hours of Sun!
Thanks for looking

Thanks for posting, the sun is trying to not hide behind the clouds down here but is a losing battle so far.
Fine images once again and just heard about the new sunspot, AR2778. Would be interesting if it developed even more.

Well done Peter.
Some nice images there. I wonder if that AR shows a visible sunspot in White Light?
(I’m out of action at the moment, necessary repairs to our balcony deck. The gale force winds and intermittent showers haven’t helped either!)

Thank you Jeff,

I really didn't think I had much of a chance today as there was morning cloud and predicted storms for afternoon (soon to get a wholloping me thinks). But we had a break that netted me 70gig data and was a really good test for the heavier specced laptop.
There are some stunning images of AR2778 on Cloudy Nights already and hopefully I may get to use the double stack on it.

Peter, it is great to see some solar imaging results especially the way weather is behaving at the moment. I do like your close up of the colourized image of AR12778.
Here it's currently10/10ths cloud.

Thanks Ken,

I was somewhat surprised that I got these considering.

Your wise words re fast laptop have worked... no more usb dropouts and 100 FPS plus is the norm!

If this storm that is coming our way is as bad as it looks you may find parts of our balcony at your place hehe!

Thanks Gerard,

AR12778 looks like it maybe one of the better recent ones so lets hope we all get some Sun!

Thanks Martin,

Yup I can hear the rumbling outside. looks like a good downpour coming also.
With a bit more time I could have stacked but wasn't to be. Hopefully something tomorrow... or Wed.
