I think this will be my last Mars for this season. The week ahead looks cloudy and wet and then Mars will further diminish in size and brightness. I have had lots of fun this opposition. With this last shot I had to battle clouds and seeing. So what else is new...

That is a fine Mars image including the Hellas Basin and Syrtis Major regions and I wouldn't give up just yet, the planet will still be large enough for a few more weeks yet to get a reasonable image scale. That is , if the spring cloud and rain give us a break.
