With this atrocious weather practically across the whole of eastern Australia, surely someone was really naughty and bought some outrageously extravagant...

Who’s going to ‘fess up? :P

Be glad for the rain, no bloody bush fires.

Though, here's my prediction - so many moaned about no skies for astro due to the smoke, now there'll be moans due to cloud and rain... :P

Maybe the AAT at Sidings Springs bought something, the weather can't be due to just some amateur gear.

Maybe our collective naughtiness was enough to provoke the weather gods?!?

I’ve been drooling over some upgrades, maybe the threat of purchasing is enough to anger them.

The person that has the SDM 28" waiting to be delivered - you know who you are..

You'll love it Suavi ..Best contrast out there and I should know from my 4mm and previous 3.3mm compared to all comers!
So it was you that brought the Storms!!
I'll sacrifice some old pityful Huygens and kellners to the Sky Gods tommorrow that should keep the Sadists happy...Indeed!

Dont know if a 115mm Apo is big these days..Ive got bigger scopes but this Doubles /Planet Gem arrived just over a week ago...Still think Slawomirs Tak EP is too blame for the shocking weather/seeing in most of our parts recently

Despite it being their fault I am so much looking forward to a chance to look through it!

On friday I was camped at the Warrumbungles camp ground with the idea of trying to do some AP under dark skies.
So new scope + new mount + camping =

Damning rain here in QLD at the moment, and not your average spring thunder shower :eyepop:

Very nice glass Bigjoe

It is a fine eyepiece for sure - I am trying to follow footsteps of much more experienced stargazers

I’ve sold three telescopes this year - don’t normally expect that to break a drought??

I have been throwing money at a re ererted roll off roof observatory, Instaling motors to move the roof, and batteries, putting in new floors, lining with foam, removing a lot of trees to get a good view, clearing and making a park, constructed a rather strong pier, cast my own design alluminium connection between the mount and the pier...also purchased a new eq6 mount...and been wishing for rain to get the grass seeds on the cleared land to grow and to fill the new dam...I will be finished in a week so good weather will return then.

Nothing big (although have been looking!) but finally bought some WO binoviewers after getting fed up waiting for baader MB2’s.
First Binoviewers, arrived a week ago, but solid cloud and rain starting on the exact day of delivery after a nice but short clear spell.

Hmph!

Ordered an F/5 16" Hubble Optics scope this week. That's big for me. Might be quite a few months before it (and accompanying bad weather) is ready and gets here though.
