Hi all,
finally got onto my second batch of vids from Mars last week. This time concentrated a bit more on colour and surface detail. - in terms of colour it really was more of an orange through the eyepiece, but interested to hear peoples views on the colour (I admit mars was so bright it felt a bit blinding!).
hoping i didn't go too far on the processing here
anyway hope you enjoy the view.
cheers
Rusty

The detail you picked up is amazing, love the blue cloud in the North. The Mars colour is perfect.

That's a beautifully detailed, yet smooth Mars Russell.
Excellent all round.

Lovely image. One of the nicest I've seen. Lots of fine surface detail and a lovely rendering of atmospheric details. Well done.

That's a great result Russell, which scope did you use to take this?

That's a really nice image, the colours are great and the treatment is quite unique - it looks a little like you are imaging through a soft focus filter, but still getting a high resolution image.

thanks for the comment Graeme - yes pretty tough to get the balance there between atmosphere and surface  but i'm glad you enjoyed it
thanks Andrew - who knows maybe i had a bit of cloud and or mirror fogging
thanks big-blue
cheers Mickoid - this is through the 12" goto dobsonian, with the 5x tele vue powermate, qhy 163m (using ROI) and rgb filters (i have filter sliders so actually have to change filters manually between videos).
thanks for the comments guys
