Had a quick look at one of the streams from last Saturday and the colors seem alright, details so so . Will process another loop later on. Hoping it will be steady conditions tonight to have another go at it.

Really nice work Marc, you're really giving Mars a good work over.:)

I've just set up tonight, and weather/conditions permitting, I hope to record a series of Phobos and Deimos, so save some photons for me.;)

Cheers

Dennis

Good stuff. I tried looking for those two moons but I can't find them in the live view, even with Mars over exposed.

Hi Marc

Here is a single Raw (unprocessed) file from my ASI 1600 MM earlier tonight.

I have cropped the central area of 1280x960 pixels and a 1 sec exposure reveals Phobos and Deimos.

I wonder if these tiny moons are being overwhelmed by diffraction spikes from your spider?

Cheers

Dennis

It's possible the angle of my spider vanes covers them yeah. I'll have to check that out.

Pretty good considering the seeing wasn't great.
Hope you got some better seeing last night.

Thanks Pete. Seeing was alright until 22:00 on Jupiter and Saturn. Actually much better than what I've had the previous session Saturday 10/10/2020. On Mars though it was very variable. I haven't checked all the streams yet but by 23:00 I had given up in RGB and put an IR filter on until 23:50 when I started packing up. There were intermittent cloud bands and some seriously thick muck creeping up from the South East so decided to go before it got wet.
