Jupiter and Europa from last Saturday night through Satchmo's C9.25
The seeing was pretty poor and got even worse as the night wore on so this was the best image of the evening. It's my first capture of the GRS and shadow of a moon on Jupiter's surface. I still have a lot to learn regarding my capture skills in particular. Best 2000 frames out of of 8000 with an ASi120mc.

Nice wide field. Must have been a lot later than mine. I was on Mars by then.

Thanks Marc,
yeah we didn't get onto Mars till around midnight - this was taken around 10:30pm. Unfortunately our attempt at Mars was pretty unsuccessful .

Thanks Russell !
Trying to get my planetary imaging technique up to scratch so that if & when I get a bigger OTA I'll (hopefully) be able to do it justice.
Focusing is definitely a big challenge - especially with manual focusers.
Good last season image Pete
