Hi there, for those of you not on CN (https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/734050-mars-uranus-and-some-moons/), here are some images I took on Sunday night/Monday morning. Melbourne's weather finally cooperated and I was able to catch some nice images of Mars, Uranus and their moons.

Great Mars shot Andrew. I imaged it the 10th and see same similar shapes and clouds. Good reference.

I also like your Uranus shot. How much lower than Mars is it from your location? Did you need a wider ROI to capture its moons?

Hi Marc, thanks for that.

Mars peaked at about 46 degrees for me here, Uranus was around 36 degrees elevation when I took this image.

The ROI for Mars+moons was much larger than for the planet itself, 1184x422 pixels vs 232x224 for just the planet. The Uranus+moons image had an ROI of 976x742 pixels.

Thanks for that. Mars peaks at 50 degrees here. I'll look for Uranus and try it tomorrow night if it's clear. :prey: 40 degrees sounds good.
PS: actually Stellarium says 42 degrees. It's late in the night though.:zzz2:
