Last Friday, looking W from the boundary of Dunedin, ahead of a just-about-all-nighter of stargazing in sublime conditions.

f/1.8?

I bought that almost a year ago.. haven't used it once in the field :D
Solid bit of glass though, the few test shots I've done really show a lot of good potential.

I have the 14mm Art 1.8. Its got some coma in the corners, your image shows round stars. What F stop did you use for this? Was it like F2.8 or slower?

I usually use F2.8 but it still has some corner star aberrations even at F2.8.

30s at f/2.8 from memory but would have to check the image file back on the HDD later on...

It's a great lens if you're willing to deal with its heft. It's certainly not aberration-free wide open but the FoW it provides more than makes up for that. Landscape shots with this are absolutely epic.

Edit: I just checked - 25s at f/2.2

Very nice work. Sets the mood for a night of star gazing under great skies.
