i plead colour blindness and too much time spent on this process;)..
115 refractor, zwo 1600 cooled -15c, 60 seconds, gain you would not believe, unguided heq 5 , Deep Sky Stacker, Startools no darks, photoshop and gimp.
I present my pretty spider picture:D.

Alex
Those are great images, colour in AP is up to ones choice , taste or creativity
In Startools, try selecting the second option and process in mono, don’t use the colour module , you will be surprised how much more detail you can see in a mono image
Well done !!

If you look at the centre of the image and tilt your head to the left you can see a face - though not quite human - Hmmm
Nice

Nice shot.
I think some black and white shots look better than colour.

Thanks all for the positive encouragement.
Yes Glen the TS 115 you once owned is a wonderful scope ...I have been thinking of getting a second one ..two rigs the same to catch twice as many photos in the same time...a two eyed dragonfly.
Soon when I finish my perpetual quest for yet another observatory I will start doing these right ..sensible gain, darks flats and longer exposures ... The noise in these high gain images is over the top but Startools handles it to the point that I am making my bad habits the norm.
Thank again.

The black and whites on this one are pretty neat I would post them but even with a sunny day I need to bring the batteries back so no desk top ...I really need another grands worth of batteries...or just some petrol for the genny.
Alex
Nice going Alex, Petrol you say, well you can buy a lot for $1000.00 well done.
By the way to me and other folk I'm sure, colour isn't that important, just getting these wonderful images of deep space is special in my eyes.

Hi Leon..thanks my friend... I do hope someone gets a kick out of them and take encouragement that if an old mug like me can get a result swiming in ignorance and suffering that must tell them they could do better.
What I do hope that folk notice is my images are unguided using only 60 second exposures...which means that it is pretty easy....but that 115 TS refractor really is worth it's weight in gold...nice optics and an unbelievable focuser ... why anyone would wish to replace it's focuser with one of those fancy ones I don't know...
The image lost so much downsizing for here...on my big monitor it really looks very detailed and I was very happy given no dark high gain etc ... I did two images one to capture an unblown out core which really showed great detail..I used the rubber and layering tools in photoshop to get the best of each image after I ran them thru StarTools...another great product..fantastic how it takes these high gain images and fixes them..some were 450..yes 450!!!!...six hours I think but more if you include the subs specifically to get the core.
If only I could get the observatory finished..the pier molding particularly and get serious..I know enough now to put it all together given the time..but always so busy I can't throw all I have at it yet.

Alex
Yes Alex I happened one of those today as well, and i did not interrupt its journey. keep the images coming my friend, you certainly are a stayer.
Leon
Great Image Alex, i think it would be awesome to have two scopes:
Use as a binoscope when visual takes your fancy, or doubling data acquisition rate when your imaging....Win win!
