There were a few prominences that caught my eye. Seeing was not particularly good between 730am and 830am.

I have tried to put in the size of the Earth as approximate as I could and placed it on the black disc in image 2. Have I got my math below right for an approximation? Is there a better way to do this?

My Sun image is 420mm diameter on my big monitor.
Sun is 1,392,000km diameter.
1,392,000km divided by 420mm = 3314km per mm.
Earth is 12756km at Equator.
12756km dived by 3314km = 3.85mm size of Earth.

Thanks for looking.
Peter

Excellent Peter - and you've almost created an exclamation mark :)

Thanks Jonathan.

Haha, now there's a point!
Creative or Technical excellence? neither, just enjoyable fun...to see the Sun changing day to day, hour to hour, minute by minute. Never, as Vivienne from the Young Ones put it... Boring!

Peter,
Well done mate!
Re Earth sizes....
Easiest way is to divide you solar image diameter by 108.7, this then gives the size of an Earth image to scale.
I usually use camera pixels.....

Thanks Ken, that works much easier!
