Hi Rich,
Very nice!!! dust lanes stand out very nicely with a great very natural looking contrast. The galaxy has that 3d look to it as well as lots of fine detail..
Well done and hope you get some more good weather!!
Great image Rich. You've maintained the colours beautifully.

Thanks a bunch there Eric, just my scope and me doing what we can do with what we have... and then there's the weather, but pretty happy with things at present though!
Thank you Frank !
Cheers for the comments Andrew, appreciated !
Cheers Scotty, yes picked those out nicely; Interesting to see where the star forming regions are occurring in this galaxy.
Too kind there Andy but appreciated!
Thanks very much for the comments there Gaz, I do try and bring things of interest to the for front to give a 3d effect, rather than a flat looking image. Just have to make sure I've plenty of good data to use.
Thank you Jase, when I processed this, I had some bloat on the red channel due to conditions at the time were a bit fuzzy, wouldn't allow me to over saturate things, so good to know all looks ok.
Thank you Louie !
Cheers and thank you all for the great comments;)
All the best:thumbsup:

What I like about this shot is how far the dark lanes extend across the galaxy. You seem to have captured more of the galaxy than is often done, showing up the dark lanes for longer. Good shot

Hey cheers for that hOughy the weather God:D
It is such a brilliant galaxy, the Northern hem guys spew every time they see an image of it and only wish they had it their back yards....
We're pretty darn lucky to still have good skies and some of the best objects!
Thanks for the nice comments there Ric, had a bit of coma but have sorted the spacing out with my corrector so I'm even happier with things now!
Thank you Roger ! Amazing how quick I can accumulate data with this fast system.. I'm enjoying imaging all the old favourites seeing them with more detail.
Thanks a lot you guys:hi:
Cheers:cheers:
