Hi All,

This was a target I wanted to see how far I could push my imaging with 80% moon glow.

Not expecting much but got some detail in. I believe there is a lot of HA in this that I have no chance of getting. I hope to get a CLS filter a try on a new moon.

I was also testing my mount with an upgraded Rowan belt drive but my mount alignment was really out, but at least got some detail.

Cheers

That looks really nice, Malcom! I think you've got a lot of nice detail in there.

What were your sub durations? And how badly out was your PA? Great to have a result like this with some known improvements up your sleeve!

Thanks JP,

These were 90 second subs, I could not measure how far out, all I know is that after imaging I carried out a drift align with PHD2 and it was significant.

I don't have perfectly level ground either, another feature I am working on.

I think the CLS will be a great accessory, I was planning to buy a new camera but the money disappeared as fast as it arrived. :)
