I had been wanting image this for awhile with the new setup I currently have. Although this isn't any where near perfect, its probably the best work I have done to date.
I found it hard to process with the limited data I had, it sure did pose a real challenge. I went light with the blending of Ha, it seemed to flood the red channel to much using NBRGBCombination. Just another thing I need to work on time permitting. Thanks for stopping by and having a look.
Taken from my backyard observatory.
Mount NEQ6 belt modded (still needs adjustment)
ASI 1600mm Pro gain 76 cooling to -10
Newtonian 10 inch F4.7
LRGB-Ha 180 secs for total of 2 hours

I like the colours. Very Nice
Great result Daniel.
That scope certainly catches a lot of the good stuff!

Great effort Daniel, you're showing lots of great structure there and I like your colours too. And am I reading that right? Total of 2hrs? :eyepop: That's pretty insane what you managed to pull out of 2hrs of data.

Thanks Peter, I over the moon the way it turned out. Things are starting to line up for me out there now :)
Thanks. It even looks like I may have captured distant galaxies also here and there. I brought this mirror off a fella here at IIS, then made a strong metal tube for it. Very happy with how this ts has performed to date.
Thank you Lee. Yes only 2 hours, I captured 4 hours but I was very selective with my frames. Had a bit of drift here and there with backlash...all good just need to tune the worm a little more. Hoping that next time I can push it out to 300sec exposures and gain a little more depth.

A really good Helix Daniel, your adjustments have improved your tracking .
No guiding ?

Thank you George, a bit more time and it should be as close as it will ever be. It was guided but with an average PA, so there was constant corrections.
Cheers Marc, I was happy with they way it turned out. Still getting the processing down to a fine art. The main thing I like, is the background shows distant galaxies :)

Very nice rendition, I also imaged it under a very moonlit sky on Friday and got 3 hours worth of data, it’s not an easy target is it? It needs hours I reckon

Thank you, I'm happy my tracking is playing nicely after the rebuild. But absolutely Nik, its one tough DSO. Time permitting I would love to really focus on getting 5+ hours next run. Seriously thinking of some narrowband filter at 3nm to cut that moon out of the equation.
