Hilux Moonrise and Some Milky Way.

Taken yesterday morning the last of the moon rising in the dawn and some Milky Way pics down the road last night. All pics with Canon Ra and 14mm Sigma lens.

Looks like the Ra is going well Derek - any problems with it? Have you tried it thru a telescope?

No John have yet to use it on the telescope .I use it pretty much as a normal camera as well.No problems and I have been using it a lot.Peter Ward has a post here with a trial run using the Ra.Its in deep space I think.I am wondering what it will be like on the Lunt 100 but using it in B&W settings .

Cheers Bob.Yes they certainly do render the colours a little different which I like but probably isn’t to everyone’s liking.Hope you manage to get a few more night shots before the Milky Way season is gone.

Agree Derek, very cool colour renditions indeed - dose the Ra have a fine colour adjustment on them ?

I know my old 600D and the newer 'but still a bit old to most' 6DII have, that quad-cross grid where can add or substract colours in increments.
I usually set for landscape for landscape but then add a couple of notches of blue & green in the quad-grid, can use onboard saturation but that increases all colours.
I used to bump up the red whilst killing off some blue when the dslrs in a scope too - depending on white balance speshly with the older 600D, the 6DII has the kelvin setting which is real nice :thumbsup:
