Has anyone ever had a issue with it being too bright while the moon is out? the moon seemed to be hitting the inside of the guide scope and was making it so bright. I grabbed my dust cover for the front of my newt and held it under the guide scope and it seemed to disappear.

Yeah that can happen, you could try making a quick dew shield by using some paper or cardboard and tape, wrapping it around the guide scope.

3 options or solutions

1/ Pick a target away from the moons direct glare and movement across the night sky
2/ Try narrowband Imaging
3/ Also use a moon glare deflector , I made up one using a 2.1m high x 20mm dia timber dowel which sits in a hole drilled into a thick timber base and then cable tie an umbrella to the top opened out with a piece of silver grey poly Tarp ( same shape as opened umbrella) stretched across the top and clipped on the sides
It works a treat and definitely shows up on the histogram as reduced glare by about 5% to 7% .When I’m imaging I just move the deflector around the scope every 20 mins to block out the moon glare as my target traverses the night sky

Cheers
