Hi All,

Not much opportunity to capture much, so I am going through some older images. This wasn't taken that long ago but my first attempt to process it felt disastrous.

I really do not have an idea what it should look like but this is my best attempt. The one thing about this area is that it can be processed in so many ways.

Hi Malcom

Aside form having good data,

the 'stretch' (develop) I think is the single most important part of processing.
That is the move from linear to non-linear.
Always keep a copy of the linear data.

And then comes the masked stretch.
Well worth the effort to learn how it is done.

I can play with the settings for hours.

Thanks Peter, I alway keep my original data until I can do more with it. This is definitely one that will remain for while. I may have done a few nebula but am surprised how challenging this one could be. I have tried a number of stretches and they all seem to be different. I think this one can be a training exercise over time.
This one I use Startools for the first time, there is a steep learning curve for more advanced processing with this tool but it can produce some good results.
