Very nicely done Nathan! Both versions look good!
You must be a perfectionist ;) because there's not a lot in it! To my eye though, the one with the more golden star field has a nose in front with slightly better emission colours despite having a little less intensity in the blue reflection neb. It's a matter of personal taste of course (up to a point!). As always the the best is going to be a combination of both! :)

Bot good but the first one has the more accurate star colours with the nice golden star background.
Really very fine images and this quality would have been rare just a few years ago unless done with the most expensive gear available. Amazing the advances we are seeing.

Thanks fellas.
The first image was done manually, where as the second image was produced using the EZ Processing Suite for pixinsight, and had a star reduction performed.
It's good to know my manual processing was better than some scripts

Very well done. Because of the reflection nebulosity and the golden stars of the milky way, it's one of the few areas of nebulosity where an RGB image can outperform a narrowband image.
We prefer the more golden version.

Agree with all of the above and the first one does have the better colouring. Sometimes it can be a bit tricky to get the colour right on these dense areas of the Milky Way. This one has landed spot on

I prefer the first version. Maybe removing some Cyan from the Red?
Nice image!

I think I prefer the first image. More golden stars and less blue.
I like them both although I think the first is better by a bit.
