Some Jovian fun from last night

A couple of images from last night. Both taken with Edge HD 8" scope and ASI29MM Camera and RGB Baader filters. Only difference is the first one is with a 2.5x TV Powermate. Processed with PIPP, Registax 6 and PS CC.

Nice images, but the colours seem a bit off (on my screen anyway).

You should try stacking the frames in Autostakkert!3, from all reports it's much better than Registax. I only use Registax for wavelet sharpening of the stacked frames.

What do you use PIPP for?

Thanks Andrew. I have tried AS3. Still getting better results with Registax, so probably have to investigate what AS3 can do and tweak my settings, or I am doing something wrong!! PIPP takes original AVIs and sorts all the frames into a quality order. It can also select a percentage or number of frames. I quite often select and sort best 50% in PIPP then stack 50% in Registax as a starting point. Will vary those depending on quality of the video. It can also do batch processing. So at end of a big session when you may have say 100 videos, you can throw the whole lot at PIPP and let it run.

With the colours, I may well have introduce a bit too much saturation. As much of my imaging is narrowband, I tend to be heavy handed on saturation by default!!
