Hi all,

Have never really taken a good Jupiter was hoping to make that happen last night. Seeing was about a 5 or 6 out of 10. Some moments looked sharp in the blue channel but perhaps i need to sort through my videos more closely.

Interested to hear thoughts if i have over processed - i have only just started getting the hang of wavelets recently.

Also - included an original stack out of winjupos to see "pre-processed" RGB aligned version.

Taken from my 12" dob and qhy163m.

Cheers

Looks great, I aspire to produce images like this!
I was out last night too and had even though it was clear out, my videos weren't great.

Your added Saturn was worth waiting for, it came up particularly well under average seeing conditions. Well processed with nice colours. Have to be happy with that outcome!

I was out visually with the telescope that night, Jupiter looked half way between 1&2 but Saturn looks like a dead ringer. Nicely done

Good effort Saturn looks the nicest. Likely the softness on Jupiter is largely due to seeing not processing

thanks Mick  yes i was surprised how well Saturn turned out considering Jups wasn't quite there. I also think i have my saturn and mars processing much more advanced than Jupiter.

Cheers Col  its always nice to take a visual look when they're so high in the sky atm.

Thanks for the confirmation on conditions. will be keeping an eye on conditions over the next few weeks.

also have now thrown a gif in for the sake of it

well it's no APOD or Malin winner however, Tele Vue saw my Saturn image on Flickr and added it to their blog for their write up of Opposition - which is kind of nice (particular considering the seeing) :)
