Three Probes Heading to Mars

How much probing can Mars stand. Ok the usual player NASA .. China .. well nothing new about their ambition .. but UAE, interesting new comer wonder why their interest.

I also wonder if it is time to choose a new target. In the famous words of Dr McCoy .. It's Dead Jim.

Unfortunately Mars will be the flavour of the next decade or so in regards to scientific exploration. Going beyond the asteroid belt to the gas giants and outer planets is to costly and pushes technology to the limits not to mention the duration of missions.It will be a while yet until a country launches another Voyager type mission. At the time (1977) it was a miracle Congress and the President approved the funds to do a solar system fly by
I still think any mission to another celestial body is exciting especially Mars.Whether these missions bring us a tiny bit closer to future manned missions , only time will tell.
