Does anyone out there who has a Fetch box for their TV know who
I can get to look at mine, as it appears to be faulty? Its long out of warranty.

Raymo, you can try and contact these guys. They may be able to get you up and running again.

Been there, done that, Bill. A long drawn out process, as it is carried out
by email, as they don't have a help line. I laid out the several discreet
problems the box has, and they came back with the suggestion that I was using the incorrect password, even though I stated that I had changed the password and received confirmation of the change. I am awaiting their
reply to my latest missive.

yep, Fetch support is practically non-existent. When new, ours refused to accept our credit card and our only recourse was through the local JB HiFi manager contacting "a mate" at Harvey Norman who had access to the Fetch accounts system!!!

Don't know if this is of any use to you, but ours recently refused to reboot after a software update and, as with you, there was no joy at all in getting it fixed. Tried the soft/hard resets etc, which changed the nature of the faults displayed, but did not get it working again. We rely on Fetch while self isolating, so gritted teeth and bought a replacement. However, I left the damaged one attached to the internet - and after about a fortnight it rebooted and now works fine again. I have no idea what went wrong, but it looks like it may have been a faulty update that was eventually patched. Might be worth trying a hard reset and leave it attached to internet ?

good luck. cheers Ray

Thanks for the reply Ray. I think I'll just bite the bullet and buy a smart TV.

Great idea Raymo, smart TVs are amazing. But be aware that some of the cheaper brands, like Kogan for instance, may come preconfigured with, in my case, only Netflix.

I bought my Kogan smart TV recently. It’s mostly terrific value for money, but it won’t receive Netflix even though it sees the wifi etc. It just comes up with an error message telling me a movie can’t stream at the moment and to try again later.

Plus, because it was a lower priced TV model, it won’t allow me to download the app for my Stan. Fortunately it’s no big deal cos I just receive my programs on my iPad and cast it to the TV. But if I didn’t have an iPad, this would defo be a problem.

Anyway, just something to be aware of. Hope it helps.
