I found one of these filters (at the bottom of the filter box) and can't remember where or why I bought it. With a bandpass of 35nm it seems an unlikely choice for most of my cameras.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this. With that sort of bandwidth, would it be a reasonable match for a DSLR, for example?

Should work as a light pollution filter, only allowing the spectral wavelengths around H alpha to be recorded.
It's widely used as an energy rejection filter (ERF) on solar imaging set-ups.
