TELESCOPES:
About 20 telescopes in operation
See the Moon, Planets, Stars, Nebulae and Clusters
LECTURE:
Naomi McClure-Griffiths, Australia Telescope National Facility
An illustrated lecture entitled
"Tales of Hydrogen in the Milky Way"
Starting at 7.45 pm - Venue under cover
DISPLAYS:
Displays of telescopes, books, maps, and posters
Videos, software and other material on sale
ENTRANCE:
$10 Adult $5 Child $25 Family
Proceeds for Astronomical Observatory and Planetarium at Macquarie University
THIS EVENING WILL NOT BE CANCELLED BECAUSE OF WEATHER
TELESCOPES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE IF CLOUDY (Slide show instead)

I usually try and go with a scope and with kids...It is a very "Newbie" and "Family Friendly" affair...including sausage sizzle!
While the site (a parking lot) and view are not very "dark sky" it has always been a good time with lots of opportunity for outreach into the wider community...
