Does it make a difference?
The image scale will be larger with the RC10 so maybe it would be more accurate compared to the Esprit 120? Also the RC10 is a much heavier scope, so maybe that would help make sure the bits are meshing nicely?

Does it really matter, slop is slop? Either can be balanced East heavy or whatever way to choose to set it up.

I just figure the longer F/ratio scope would possibly me more accurate since any periodic error would be magnified more by the optics. But it's a different and much heavier scope, so I was thinking maybe that would affect things?

Markus, I hope its not an EQ6 you are trying to do PEC on, with mine the worm cycle was totally different for each cycle. So I could never get the PEC trained properly, when I tried it.
As shown by this 25 minute capture of PHD2 guide assistant, each worm cycle is different.

The one with the longest FL.

It's a Losmandy G2. The timing is a little funky but I think you can compensate in the software before outputting the smoothed curve.
Maybe...we'll see.
