Hi guys.

Got around to processing my lunar eclipse images this morning..

Settings:
- 10" dob with 32mm GSO plossl @ 39x
- Sony DSCP100 @ ISO200 (left, ISO100 right), f/5.6, 1/1000s shutter
- Afocal shot, camera held on tripod next to the eyepiece
- Each image is the result of 5 shots taken in burst mode, aligned and stacked in registax and processed in photoshop.

A larger version of the image can be seen here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/images/images/moon/20050424-lunareclipse-full.jpg).

Comments welcome.

Easy to see the ISO 100 rate is the sharper of the 2.
Good image scale for an eclipse there Mike.

Thanks Mark, and yeh the right image is definitely sharper. Partly due to the ISO, but also could be due to obtaining a sharper focus before taking the picture.

Mike, I didn't know you were in the Northern Hemisphere. Your moons upside down and back ta front :P Excellent shots by the way :) :cool2:

I don't know what you're talking about Paul.. :P

Anyway, everyone knows the optimal way to show lunar images is with north up. :D
