Messier 4 + Al Niyat + nebula. This has been a work in progress since June 26 due to poor weather. I think M4 and the nebula make a nice semi-wide field, part of the Rho- Ophiuci complex. I've never viewed the nebula visually.

Kson ED80 at F4.5, ZWO ASI 183mm Pro at -10C, Svbony Ha - RGB filters. 60 minutes for each RGB channel, 98 minutes for Ha.

Very nice work, something i hope to aspire to.

Do you find the Sbvony are less problematic than other filters? (such as halos etc.)

I'm looking for a set of narrowband filters for my DSLR (58mm).

Very nice work.

Thanks Sal. I don't have any other narrow band filters to compare to, so I can't say. They seem good, to me anyway. I have the 1 1/4 inch for LRGB and the narrow band ones are 48mm.

That's really quite excellent Kevin! I don't think I have ever seen that pairing in an astro image before (and I have seen a looooooooooooooooooooooot of astroimages :eyepop::lol:), veeeery cool. Nice work buddy

Nice Kevin.

The red halos around the brighter stars is from the Ha layer in your image. One trick is to erase the stars in the Ha image as they usually only damage RGB stars. Or form a star mask on the Ha layer to prevent them from affecting your RGB stars.

Thanks Mike. Can't say I've seen them paired either. I had the right focal length to do it so thought I'd give it a try.

Hi Greg, I did have trouble integrating the Ha layer into the RGB. I haven't quite got the technique down yet. I did use Starnet to remove the Ha stars but it wasn't 100% successful. I may do a revision sometime when I get better at it.

Thanks Suavi!

Good luck with yours Graham!

They do make a nice combo. I'm sure someone could do a lot better than me.
