This is a work in progress....I still have some minor system niggles, which only become apparent when the seeing is quite good, hence this
was shot at a paltry FL 2800mm or so to keep things looking tight and tidy.

I will likely add SII and OIII for a Hubble rendition in due course.

Very fine Peter. All our favourite features are very sharp. Please do the OIII and the SII.

Just to show that we looked, we notice that the stars are all snowman-shaped. A moment of cloud affecting the guiding?

I would have been gathering ionised sulphur and oxygen photons as I write, but the full moon is a little too close to my quarry just now.

That niggle I first mentioned is indeed causing the "snowmen"...the culprit looks to be software induced random spikes in Dec.. Least I think so...:question:..proving hard to nail down as the excursions are +/- 1 pixel (0.4 arc sec at 2800mm)....well below my usual seeing of 2-3 arc sec. Frosty's head disappears as the seeing degrades...hence tracking down the cause is proving to be a challenge

I might put it down to global warming ;)

Whilst we do see the small issues with the stars this doesn’t detract from the Hubble like display. Thanks for sharing another excellent image Peter.
