A bit different than the usual SHO. Looks a bit like HOO, but not quite. I've fiddled with it so much I can't remember what channel went where haha!

The Running Chicken Nebula IC2944 in SHO with channel swap. Imaged back on April 23.

120mm Skywatcher achro refractor at F4, Svbony narrow band SHO filter set, 299 x 30 seconds unguided, ZWO ASI 183mm Pro at -10C.

Thanks Chris! I think there might be a pun in there somewhere. ;)

Puns or not, I think you’ve bagged yourself a great Chicken there Kevin. The structure of the nebula and colours come through well.

Really nice! and a great example of what can be done with an unguided achro!

Also, I just noticed this in your signature
"Coulter Optics 10" F4.5"
... am going to search for threads on this now :)

Thanks Rodney. I don't know how many colour combinations there are, but I went through a few before I settled on those.

Thanks Bill. It's not bad for an old achro refractor. I just can't do RGB with it.

Thanks JA! AP on the cheap! Looks like the price of APO's are not coming down any time soon either.

I haven't used the coulter optics for a while now. It has a bit of a problem I'm trying to sort out.

I want to do the same :) In practice its just going to be a quick, subtle re-focus when shooting Oiii, but Ha and Sii are the same focal point?

Yeah pretty much. But I refocus between all filters anyway. At 7nm a bit of star bloat still sneaks through on the OIII filter on my achro. But not too bad.

Very interesting Kevin, it's come up great! Great thing with narrowband is the wide amount of artistic interpretation that can be used :)

It certainly can! Probably why I had trouble deciding on the final result.
