Hi All,
Yeah well O.K. I named it that, others call it the Banana Nebula, so why not, An interesting item in the Carina Area, I think the Open Cluster is IC2581, note the nebulosity around it, there is also some nebulosity at the top right of the picture, Im going to do some more work (weather permitting) in this area, as it looks worth spending time on, I took this using the ED80 and EOS300D (modded) a hard combination to beat.

6 x 6 Min. Exp. at ISO-800, DF removed, guided.

cheers......Jim

Wow great work Jim.
It's indeed a great combination, the ED80 & 300D.
What did you use to guide with and what mount ?

Hi Andrew,
The ED80/Canon is mounted on an LX200-10" Scope- Fork Mount,+ an MX7C Camera for guiding.

Nice shot Jim but I think it might be NGC 3324 and NGC 3293.

Hi All,
Many thanks for the comments, and GLENC, ngc 3324 is the Keyhole nebula, but I think that you may be correct re ngc 3293 as its co-ordinates fit those in the picture, would you like to have a go at the Galaxy Post I did, I cant for the life of me sort that one out, but ill be doing it again and record the details next time.

cheers............Jim
