I was playing about at twilight in Orion when I caught the re-entry of the Soyuz 2-1b rocket launched from Plesetsk cosmodrome Friday 22nd May 2020. Total accident-was aiming for something else!!
Enjoy!

Wow, what a lucky shot. Did you see it visually as well?
Greg.

Yes Greg- saw it visually, it was crazy-I thought it was a massive bolide, it was slow and low and had multiple trials and sparks, I called my Wife out to see it as it was there long enough to fetch her. It looked like a massive firework shooting off sparks and dust.
One of my colleagues at the hospital had booked a holiday to be at that launch, Covid intervened,so I sent her my pic!!

Thanks Ray and Marc and Greg
the line was almost horizontal about 40' above my horizon in the NW, but I cropped out some trees so tilted it.
Wow, what a bit of luck, love it.
