Great shot, Fernando! Nice pinpoint stars and plenty of detail. I have the same camera (brand new, bought late last year) which I used once in March and all I got was dew which ruined my Eta Carinae subs. Since then, I have only used my DSLR. The ASI071's dewing problem was supposed to have been corrected....

A really nice image. Well done.

Thank you all for your comments. When I finished processing in Pixinsight, I got a feeling that the image was "too red", due to the L-Enhancer filter. But after awhile, I got used to it:).

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your comment. Sorry about hearing your issues with the ZWO071. I guess you did return it? I got mine about the same time as yours, second half of last year. I had no dew issues. And I am in an area with high air humidity. What I did, from day one, was to keep the camera inside a container while not imaging (see the attached picture). It has a tight lid and inside I keep like 10 - 15 dissecant bags. From time to time, like one week, I dry the bags for 2 minutes in the microwave (actually, I got a 100 dissecant larger bag). I learnt this from someone in Cloudy Nights. Maybe was this, maybe just luck..

I hope it helps, regards, Fernando

Excellent Image, Fernando!

I don't think it is too red, there's just a lot of hydrogen glowing and I think you've done a good job capturing it!
Even in the surrounds of M8, you can see the faint red glow with a slight cloudy whispiness to it.

Well done!

Hi Sal,

Thanks!!! After dealing/fighting with SW AZGT, Atlas Pro, a couple of years ago I decide to have a decent mount. Sold both mounts and got one of the last brand new Mach1. Expensive but I decided that life is short, too. And Life is better since:lol:.
