After looking at the excellent image Rob Charteris produced from only 9 images using the LPI, i took some advice from him and started collecting images as Tifs and using only those captured at 95% quality. i then used registax to select and capture . I have attached one of the pictures. It is mad up of 47 images . The picture was taken on 22nd of april at about 10.45 with an almost full moon close by . i expect better results in a really dark sky.

You've got that right Mike. Congratulations 5ash that is brilliant. Maybe I shouldn't have written off my LPI :cool2: :2thumbs:
Im really happy with these photos and have attached another which is made up of only 8 images stacked.

Nice picture Philip
A very interesting rifting disturbance streched in longitude along the southern edge of the south temperate belt there. If you have any other pictures from the previous or following days around the same central longitude it might make a nice animation to examine.

Nice pics Philip. I watched the GRS transit just now.Would've had a go at it with my LPI but my laptop is currently cactus.

That's an excellent result!! I'm glad I was of help. It interesting how the imaging can improve by upping the anti!!
