My first attempt at processing some of last nights double shadow transit. I've got 179 drift videos to go through and will be working on this for a while, should be able to get something OK out of all that. Just happy to get the 2 shadows and the red spot was a bonus I wasn't expecting. By my calcs the red spot and 2 shadows should have only been visible for 3 mins but it went a fair bit longer than that. Was really great to see it all and I kept filming till the shadows were gone. Worth getting really cold for, lots of frost around in the morning.

Thanks to you Jeff or I would have missed it. This is the first time I've watched Jupiter before going to bed, normally I've been getting up really early. I just whipped up another one, I can't believe what I'm seeing. I mean, I knew it was good when I was filming. Didn't know it was that good!

Thanks. This one wasn't taken using the drift method. It was a 2 min video taken by trying to keep the dobsonian centered on the planet as best I could. Surprised that it's about the same. It even picked up the moon over the planet, first time I've done that.
