Hi Guys,
What is the most secure way to connect EOS T5i to Evostar 72ED. The preferred method to direct connect. At this stage, I'm not intending to use the reducer/flattener.
What adaptors would you recommend to purchase?
Thank you

At the very least you will need a T ring adapter to suit the focuser drawtube, but I can say from experience that you will want to have the reducer/flattener in the train as field curvature was obvious even with my 4/3 sensor camera. A UV-IR filter is also a really good idea, for night time use anyway.

The reason why I'm thinking to go prime focus is because of the shortage of Field Flatteners.

I was not aware they were backordered everywhere at the moment. The simplest way would need an adapter to go from a 2" nosepiece to a T ring adapter for the camera.
I cant recall if I needed an extension tube without the reducer but that was with an ASI294 camera which would have less than half the back spacing to the sensor compared to a DLSR. I just sold my ED72 so I can't look any more to work out what adapters I had to use initially.
